As an educator and school director for almost two decades, I believe in the work and commitment of the Indigo Village Educational Foundation. Led by long-time parent educator, Susie Walton – the Indigo Village Educational Foundation’s commitment that every child deserves to experience a life full of hope, empowerment and education mirrors my own commitment to creating environments that source and celebrate the spirit within every child, adult and family.  Two years ago, after establishing two successful schools on the East Coast, my family moved to Southern California to create a new school that incorporated the values of Redirecting Children’s Behavior. Susie Walton was instrumental in our decision to make this move. Her passion for creating nurturing environments for children and strong family units inspired us to know that collaborating with Indigo Village and the Indigo Village Educational Foundation would provide us the opportunity to impact both home and school environments. Over the course of the past two years, it has been my absolute pleasure to work in partnership with these organizations to successfully create a variety of programs in a wide-range of environments thus forwarding the mission of IVEF - To give a voice to families and individuals worldwide who are looking to create positive change in their lives through education. The work and mission of this organization is vital to the future of our children and the generations that follow. Only in investing time and effort into our future generations can we hope to make a positive impact on our world. I know of no better organization to support to create such a change than the Indigo Village Educational Foundation.

I believe in Susie's message the peace in the world starts with peace in our home and that it takes a community to care for and raise healthy happy children.  The Foundations courses and outreach have blessed my life and my family and I want everyone to have access regardless of circumstances.

Eight years ago, I took my first RCB course.  My daughter, who was 2 at the time, had just started preschool.  I noticed instantly how the teachers all got down on her level and talked to her in a way that was beautiful and empowering.  I instantly noticed wonderful changes in my daughter.  My worst fear was that I would undermine what the teachers had accomplished. I wanted to learn how to communicate with my daughter in the same way that the teachers did. It seemed like  a foreign language to me.  I asked one of the teachers how I could learn their language, and they put me in touch with Susie Walton, Founder of the Indigo Village.  Weeks later, I was in a  Redirecting Children's Behavior course.  This class not only helped bring peace into my family, but became the stepping stone toward the process of uncovering my true self and gaining the courage to find what I was truly passionate about in my life.  It has been a process, not always easy, but beautiful. I want other people to have the ability to experience a similar education and transformation, which is why I am committed to serving on the IVEF Board
